Welcome to 6th grade at Highland Middle School. My name is Mr. Malone and this is my 17th year teaching. I have been at Robinson, Valley Grove, Eastside Intermediate...and now here at Highland. My favorite subjects are math, science and social studies. This works out perfectly because these are the subjects I will teach to your child.
Homework in math is every night Monday through Thursday. These problems will be things reflecting what we do in class to keep things fresh in our minds. We do lots of activities in math so your child will not be sitting at a desk for 90 minutes each day. Lots of students learn by experiencing situations and not just paper and pencil. There is a lot to learn, but we will have fun (or at least try) each day.
